We had an EL error from almost the beginning. Would happen once every couple of times putting down the dish ... then got more frequent ... then would have to do the "procedure" twice ... then three times and finally, started to have to do it four times for the blasted thing to do "it's thing". At my two year PDI last October, they changed out the dish. Have had horrible problems ever since. I don't get an EL error anymore, but when putting it up, I have a 50/50 chance on whether or not I'm going to get any channels besides the weather channel! This is in every location I've been to this last 10 months. The dish part has been replaced now three times and Winegard and I are no longer on speaking terms. When I got set up last week back at home location, I got an error saying "AZ Motor Aborted". Tried everything I could think of ... but no joy. So, hooked up to our parks cable and just went to bed. Next morning, I tried again and the dish went up and we do get channels. So, guess I'm starting to get another gremlin. Have been giving some real thought to buying a RF Mogul and being done with it.
