I use a Microsoft miracast adapter on the TV and mirror a Win10 PC to it. Usually using Netflix.

Free content from your phone provider an not be charged the data from a air card. Most apps will not let you mirror your phone screen to the tv

Unless they counter surf you won’t have a problem.

ok, I bought a Chromecast.
If nothing else, I know it is compatible with my phone.
Next question is where to plug it in?
We have a '17 Aspire 44b. I'm not sure I could even reach an HDMI port on the front TV, and if I could, that would be the only place we could watch it.
Plug it into the matrix?
That thing, and it's silly remote, scares me to death.
I have a matrix system schematic, and it does show an "HDMI Aux input" physically located in the a/v drawer above the fireplace... hmmm.
Do I actually need to learn this thing?
Maybe I should start small. Diagram shows a plug in the drawer for an auxiliary connection directly to the HDMI input on the main TV...

I had excellent coaching from Nowabeachbum, thank you Gary.
This is on a 19 so hopefully the 17 is close. The Madrix does have the "Aux" where a Chromecast or Amazon fire would plug in.....however guessing which TV it is going to come up on and when is a frustrating adventure for me. I found it easier to go into the basement Matrix control panel where the lights tell me what is going on. Toggle to the correct TV then toggle to the input wanted. My Matrix remote can take from 20 to 45 seconds to change sources to the TV from the TV' upstairs...hell I don't know if it working or not! so I go to the basement and look at the lights.
Just me but I am not sold on a basement mounted Marix with "electric eyes" for each TV. Not when this is the day of instant wifi, bluetooth, etc. JMO. The P/S front overhead cabinet (now totally empty) was the entertainment center in the Travel Supreme. Point a remote at the cabinet and it worked. 18 years later, now I have to go in the basement to see if it's working. I am waiting longer now for the switching upstairs before going in the basement and having better results....but still it should not be that hard to add an AUX device. With patients, it does work on AUX HDMI.

Maybe staying away from the matrix is the best bet.
Looking at "source" in the TV remote, it seems I have 3 HTMI inputs.
HDMI #2 is labelled "SAT1" and I use that to watch Dish.
HDMI #1 is labelled "DVD" and I use that to watch the bluray.
HDMI #3 is unlabelled and I assume available?
But I don't know where to go to connect to it.
The only HDMI in a wallplate is labelled "to all TV's" I assume it is the main input to the matrix system?
There are a couple great wads of cables coming down from the TV though holes in the cabinet.
Gonna have to pull the Dish, winegard, and bluray boxes out to see if there are any extra's.
None of this matches up to any of the diagrams I have or posts I have read.
I can feel what I assume are 2 HDMI cables coming out the right side of the TV, can't get in far enough to tell where the third HDMI connection is.

2 choices that I know of to connect an AUX device on a TV. Either a direct connect to an HDMI port as we had on the Classics. I would unplug the Sat. on HDMI 2 to all TV's and plug in the Firestick. Had to purchase and adapter to do that. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 All TV's would view Firestick TV. Or unplug the cable and use the wall plate "to all TV's"
Second choice is the AUX port on the Matrix. Advantage, one TV or all with the AUX device plugged into the Matrix. Drawback, learning to switch it over to each TV when needed.
Unless the HDMI port is easy to access on a TV, there is no easy way to add an AUX device

Success!!
I pulled out the soundbar, it's just velcroed on, and was able to get an arm back there and plug the chromecast into HDMI3.
I have a picture, downloading the google home app now.

I think you can put in on the port "to all TV" - on my 2018 there is a port labeled 4K which I use starting out -
now just using the Blue ray player cable "do not use the player at all" with the below adapter - just allows me to anything I want in as long as it's HDMI
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The project for the spring is to get that wiring all sorted out

We use HDMI to all on the classic model. I use the ipad and iphone to download moves when we are in a area with poor cell service. Combined with apple tv streamed thr AT&T unlimited plan with Direct tv. Have been coast to coast and have determined that we do not need sat tv. Most streaming apps will not let you mirror your image to the tv but if you tether it no problems. If you have free streaming on your phone service even better

Whatever we are watching on the main TV is available on the others, I use it to watch Nascar outside...lol.
"assuming" that will also work to watch the chromecast in the bedroom maybe?
As for the rest, we have Dish, and a grandfathered real unlimited verizon plan. Can't do without my nascar, and can't get it without satellite.
