Screen Replacement...
Has anyone ever replaced their screen on the door? I know that sounds trivial but it matters to me. Our Standard Poodle is the culprit. Afterwards, I'm going to put a screen guard up. Just wondering if anyone has done this before and if they had any issues they may have run in to. Really appreciate your comments.

I replaced all screens in our coach with "no see um" screening. Very easy you will need a screen roller and utility knife and screening, all purchased at Loews.

Thank you so much for your reply! Did you have to remove the door to do the job? I’ve done some research on the “how to’s” for the job. Just not sure if I need to remove the door in order to do it right. Really appreciate your info!

When we head out to tour I remove top screen so DW can take pics easier. Each fall I reinstall same piece while screen door is on coach. No problem doing it

I did remove the door to make it easier to use the screen tool roller to push the spline into the groove. I put the door on a flat table.

Ephesis-
I had to remove the screen door and put it flat on sawhorses, so I could work downhand. Working with the door in place was impossible (for this neophyte screen installer).
The spline on our coach's door is very small- about 0.09 inches. I understand this is common for RV screen doors.
I could not use a metal spline roller, as it would cut the screen. I used a wooden roller instead.
On the plus side, I was able to replace rivets with stainless steel screws, and generally straighten and clean up the door; it had accumulated a number of bumpers and other stuff over its life. I also found it only needed one of the two torsion springs to keep help it shut.

There is a "DOG PROOF" screen material. Slade can go through about anything but hasn't damaged any of these yet. ACE did them for the house; but he hasn't tried to ruin anything in the coach.

I forgot to note that I tried to install "pet-proof" screening, but I could not. It would not roll well into the narrow spline slot. You may have more success than I.

Can you post a picture of the stainless steel screws that you used instead of the rivets?
We are in the middle of replacing the screen & need to replace the little arms that hold the top screen in place.
And yes we removed the door as well. So much easier to cleanup & repair.
Thank you,
