We have used regular and now septic safe TP for over 40 years in our RVs. Never had a problem. I flush the black tank every time I empty. Twenty years of fulltime now and no problems. Make sure you use enough water.

I've been RV'ing since 1957 and had my own TT since 1968 (that's before most RV's had holding tanks) Since then the only time I've used special TP was when it came with the new rig, otherwise it's what ever we had in the house. Have NEVER had a black/grey tank problem other than the one that came with the Magna when we bought it. Apparently the original owner didn't know how to take care of the black tank but I'm getting it cleaned out as we go.

We have also been using Costco (Kirklands) for years in both the S&B and the MH and have never had any issues - now that I've said that I am covering my head...

X2 except while on the road it's Walmart's brand as it come in smaller easier to store packages. Both brand pass the sheet in a jar of water test....never a problem.

After seeing the full tank flush video, I am big on that and have not needed chemicals since I started using that method of flushing.

We have been using the Costco brand for 2+ years and never a problem. I do a rinse everytime I empty the black tank (when possible). I think Flora did the paper test with the Costco brand and it passed and was no different than the RV paper.

I did the TP test .. with Charmin Ultra Soft and Scotts single ply. The Charmin passed with flying colors .... So, DH is now happy he can use "real" TP and not the wimpy stuff. Life is good

Growing up as I did in a rual area I can tell you this.. Every TP made with the possible exception (And I'm joking on the exception) of Tetford sandpaer grade RV toilet paper is septic safe.
Scotts
Angle soft
Charmin
Store brand
other brand
And yes even teh Tetford sandpaper

It's all septic safe.

If you grew up in a rural area, as I did, how about Sears&Roebuck catalog. Noel

😉 Here in the Great White North, we had the Eatons Catalog along with Sears. Privileged I guess.

Yes, and I used those catalogs for shin pads playing shinny on a frozen pond. Only Canucks will know what I mean.

Thumbs up We like Scotts

We have been using Scotts ultra soft since we started full timing in 2012. We think it breaks up better than the Charmin brand. We also look for the giant rolls 12 = 36 they seem to last awhile longer and still fit under our sink

Septic Safe v. RV TP

Most any TP will work fine IF you remember the key to not having problems is to use lots of water. If you try to skimp and save water or more room in your black tank is when you are most likely to develop problems with buildup. The newer coaches with the electric toilets and macerator toilets are less likely to have trouble because they use more water, of course they bring a new set of potential problems. All JMHO
