Rick, the correct way from Entegra is the coach at ride height, extend slides, then level. However if a site at "ride height" is not very level a shear pin can shear which is what they are designed to do before damaging the motor or gears.
I would still follow Entegra's method of putting the slide out.

As I'm looking to stock up on Clevis Pins for future use a question comes up as to how do you determine the hardness. Entegra told me I need a Grade 5 hardness. When I go onto the various sites that sell the pins I see carbon steel, stainless steel, etc. Nothing that I have seen so far gives me a hardness rating. Any metallurgical experts out there who can translate for me?

Ed Im waiting on this answer grade 5 and where to get them other than a dealer. I've been every where and can not find these thing s, not at 2 Ace, none at fastnel.
