Sliding Door for Washer/Dryer

The DW would like to have better access to the washer and dryer. We are thinking of changing the 2 doors that are currently on the cupboard for the washer and dryer to a sliding door with a barn type system on the top. The plan is to use the same doors with angle iron or wood to fasten them together to make 1 door. I know that there would have to be a bottom trough to hold the door in and will need some type of closure to keep it from sliding as we go down the road.

Has anyone done anything like this before?

You might want to look at the 2018 - Anthem 44 and CS 45 B models. I believe they now have a sliding door for the washer/dryer in the rear bath.

In the Tiffin world, this was a common mod.

All you need are two drawer slides of the desired length attached top and bottom to the existing doors. Itís a fairly simple mod.
