Took coach in today for a check engine light SP729 comes and goes as DSL 417 said get it checked out don't play around with the code messages I did today as I was changing oil and getting genny serviced. It turned out to be the upper issue I posted the Spartan dealer said they have to access the top of the engine through the rear of the coach im not sure where though any ideas I may be able to let them know and avoid some guessing and well you know,

I am not sure I am understanding if this is what you are asking---if not, at least you will have the information for the future if you need it (hope you never do).

To access the top of the engine (I have a 44DLQ also) --lift the bed and have something hold it up. With your fingers and a small screw driver feel around the carpet on the outer edge of the step up in front of the closet. You will be able to find between 6-8 screws imbedded in the carpet that kind of make a semi-circle around the top that covers the engine. Remove those and the whole thing will lift up and out. That is how they access the top of the engine. As said many times before on this forum---please do not ask me how I know this.

By the way, I will not be sinister enough to tell you to have fun.

From the floor plan drawings it looks a lot harder to access the opening in the DLQ than the RBQ. I've always looked at that hatch in our bathroom and thought, "I hope we never have work done from there." I hate having service techs working inside the coach because it's our house.
