So, who is considering a 2021 model upgrade?

I am on the fence between moving up to a cornerstone or keeping what I have and upgrading several things, such as HWH, driver and passenger seats (heated and cooled) slide out shelves in the pantry and a few other items. Or maybe just getting a new Anthem as they have all of the above, less the cooled seats. The cost differential is pretty steep, about $150K, but after driving the 605, I want one.

I must say the new kitchen window will be a great addition. I had the good fortune to see Brett's CS and the prototype kitchen window, as well as other manufacturers including Newmar, AC and Tiffin. It really brightens up the inside.

So who else (besides Chuck) is moving on up?

If you can trade your 2018 Anthem for a 2021 Cornerstone for $150,000 trade difference, and get what you want, sounds like a very good deal to me.
Maybe you’re talking about Anthem to Anthem trade?

I think the $150K may be to trade Anthem for Anthem.

No, I was just saying the difference between the CS and Anthem is ~150K. A lateral move Anthem to Anthem would be ~ 70 - 80K at this point.

$70-80 thousand difference for 2018 to 2021 Anthem still seems like a good deal.

I think it's moot, really. Either I move up to a CS or mod my 18.

Sounds to me like you really want to move up to a Cornerstone. You only live once, so if you can comfortably afford to do so - go for it!

That is where I would like to land. The other two options are on the table as well. By that I mean maybe trading for a '21 Anthem, or simply making mods to the 18. The disadvantage of modding is there is little to no resale value. Then again I'll lose on trade and initial depreciation of the CS as well. There is a lot to consider.

I’m still relatively young, turning 50 this year, but have already had enough experience with friends passing on to finally figure out balancing the future with the present. So I’d say if you can get your CS without jeopardizing you financial security for the future then go for it. Enjoy the fruits of your labor and if a new rig adds more joy to your life then that is a better life.

Good grief No!!!!................ I'm still trying to get this one running dependably. I can buy new lighting fxtures and some other things to make this one better but going through the first 2 years again.... No thanks!

If anyone detects that I am getting interested in another new coach, please call me and talk some sense into me again.....

Gary

DW and I will look at the new CS and Anthem at homecoming - there has been several updates that I really would like "HWH, digital dash, E-Z Steer, and now the kitchen window" - with all the changes it's getting harder not to want to move to a newer model

Strong rumor of a 44/45 deq for 2021. Not sure a mid bath is of interest to me, but a larger rear closet similar to an F could make the difference.
