Spartan Steering Recall

Had my steering recall completed. All I have to say is WOW! What a huge difference!

I did not realize how much slop was in my wheel. The recall got rid of the vibration/whine at low speed turns but for me it also improved the steering at highway speeds. Seems much tighter and easier to steer. Very Happy with it.

Shout out to Mid South Cummings RV department in Birmingham,AL. Top notch place and were very fast. If your down this way I recombined them for service.

Tell me more about this recall. This is the first I've heard of it.

There was a steering valve and hoses on the pre-2015's that cause a growling noise and some of us did experience steering problems. I am sure that has been corrected on the 2015's. On the 2014's and before they did a recall on the problem units.

I am having Spartan in Charlotte Mich do mine after Summerfest. Apt is 7-20-15. My local Cummins dealer did not want to drill the frame.

Sounds like a nice improvement.

I'm having mine done Thursday along with my fuel sending unit replacement.

We have a 2015 Anthem and there is also a recall on the power steering hose's, our steering makes a whining noise when turning the steering wheel at idle and wants to drift at highway speeds. I have an appointment on May 18th in Middlebury to have ours replaced. Spartan has factory service techs at the Entegra service center that will handle any and all Spartan recalls.
