Spartan Training
Have any of you guys taken tne Spartan 4-5 day training course for RV owners? I am wondering if the content includes teaching hands on the procedures to carry out annual maintenance on the chassis etc. I am not at all mechanically inclined but there is no Spartan Service Centre anywhere near here so I am wondering if this might help. Cost is I believe around $1,900.

Bill,
We have done the two day Freightliner course and it was excellent. I wasn't aware that Spartan had a similar course. Where is it held?

Hi Ed. Can't see location on website but I think it may be Michigan. Did the Freightliner course do hands on how to do annual msintenance?

The Freightliner class offers a wealth of knowledge. They do cover maintenance, but very little hands on. We walked around a bare chassis for 10-15 minutes. The cost is a lot less, only $150 when I went a couple of years ago, we'll worth it!

I believe the Spartan training is in Charlotte, MI and costs $950 per coach (2 people).

We aren't this year but it might be good to plan either before or after the Entegra Summerfest in late August.

We are heading to Charlotte, MI with two other Entergra coaches for the may 6th class. Spartan will also be doing a 44 point inspection while there. I heard nothing but good things about the class and training. They also provide manuals and electrical schematics so you can get a better understanding of the coach operation. I will let you know how it works out.

Attending 6-10 May
Beth and I are going to take the course 6-10 May as we had to take the coach up there to work the electrical issue we had anyway. Unfortunately, we continue to go the wrong direction WRT cold weather.
We'll let people after how the class goes. Agenda looks pretty good for both myself and DW.
If anyone has specific general questions you might have or would ask if you were there, send me a PM.

Friends of ours, owning an Aspire, attended last year and can't stop raving about it. Sounds like a great program.

My husband is headed out to the class in September. We ran into a gentleman with a Travel Supreme (2003 with 200,000 miles on it!) in Nashville last week who raved about Spartan and strongly suggested we have them do the 44 point inspection inspection while it's there. We also found a great garage who handled an alignment for us while we were in Nashville thanks to Entegra/Spartan Tech Support. Would strongly recommned them to anyone in that area.

We'll be there for the 8/5-9 course.
Anyone else going then?
