Springs On Ceiling Lights

Howdy everyone, it's me again. I have the ceiling lights that pull down and they have two springs one on each side. I have pulled several down to change the halogen bulbs to LED bulbs and the springs are very loose and won't pull the fixture up tight to the ceiling. Has anyone had a problem with this, and if so what do you do to fix them. All help with this challenge would be appreciated.

I have had this same issue in my stick built with recessed can lights. Just went to the local hardware store and purchased new springs.

I have tried to bend them and broke a spring not working that way, but thanks for the thought Johnny.
