I think a build date of May 28, 2013 makes mine a fairly early '14, not mid-year.

We drove back to Alvarado today (from Dallas) and one of several things we learned is that there is a strap under the stair cover itself that can be pulled to open the cover manually. I will ask DH to post instructions in am as he is in bed right now.....

Temporary resolution is very difficult to describe but..... if you look under the step cover, there is a small strap or tab on the left hand side. If you pull it, you should be able to slide cover back manually. Sorry, but tht's the best I can do. When we get back out to RV park, I will try to take a picture but I have no clue on posting pics or shrinking their size to be able to post

Related issue

We replaced the factory carpet pieces with indoor/outdoor carpet; installed by Wade RV at LDs. The left side of the slide moves easily over the new covering, but the leading edge of the right side gets caught on the carpet and needs some encouraging. When I look at the step the left side is higher than the right. There is some play in the right side; enough to clear the carpet. Has anyone else experienced the problem? Is there away to adjust the step or is this an item for Entegra?

Regards,
