Storage setup

So, how many EC owners set their inverter/charger control down to 15 amps and run a 15a to 50a coach connection dogbone during short- term storage for keeping the batts topped? Any problems with the 15 amp power supply or overheating of the connection?

I stored my earlier version of an Entegra that way for 10 years and will be doing the same thing with the Anthem. I also keep the refrigerator running if I am going to be working on the MH. I do use a contractors grade heavy extension cord (yellow) and not light weight (orange) yard type extension cord.

If you are just gonna let it sit kill all breakers even 1 invereter and leave only 1 invereter on it will charge your batts and bleed over to the start batts and charge when all is charged at least on anthem, This is what cust, service advised me to do I have a 20 amp I also run the aquahot in this manner in teens and below with no issues with no aquahot im sure 15 amps will work dial your inverter down to 15 amps too

Chucks right 10 or 12 gauge no less on the extension cord 25 ft is what I use. A ridged from home depot it has a led on the female end to let you know all is ok. at night

Ernie,
I am up at my MH a lot. It is my hobby and I am always up there doing something. I don't shut anything off expect the A/C units, hot water heater drained and flushed, and the basement freezer. I am in a high humidiy area so I also run a small dehumidifier 24/7, from Lowe's sitting on the counter draining into the kitchen sink. I run the stereo when I am up there, or the TV if there is a "breaking story"

It is going to be nice to have a refrigerator now that I can leave on and not worry about it catching fire like the Nocold in my previous MH. All of this on 15 amp with no problems.

I have my MH winterized but plugged into 15 amp to keep the batteries charged and I keep the fridge running. I use an orange cord but will upgrade that now that I know it's important. I've not had any problems this winter and check it often. I also start both engine and generator about once a month.

When I'm not using my rig, I connect it to a 15 amp circuit with a yellow heavier gauge cable. Not that its needed for a 15amp circuit but that's what I use. I also dial back the inverter to 15amps. Fridge is off, main power is off, chassis battery is set to disconnect.

I'm going to have a 50 amp circuit installed at the home. I also have a 20 amp circuit I use for the electric burner on the AH.

Thanks guys. So do you have the line side of the inverter breaker in the on or off position when setting the inverter up to charge off of the 15a circuit. I get that the load side and other breakers should be "off".
