Strange Question

I guess I never really thought about this until a neighbor at our campground asked...

Can you charge an Entegra's house batteries from an extension cord from your house???

If possible, has anyone tried it? If so, how long would it take to fully charge the batteries?

Yes but if you don't have enough amperage on the circuit you will pop the breaker, need at least 30 amp if the battery is low in my experience.

On our Dutch Star I can adjust the inverter to the amps of the incoming power from 5 to 30 amps. If on 50 amp supply I set it for 30, at home I set it down to 5 amps. That was the charger won't draw more than the available amps.

The Magnum charger(s) in the Entegra have the same adjustment. If you set the input amperage down to 5 or 10 amps you will not pop the breaker and can slow-charge your batteries. works well especially for trickle-charging batteries and offsetting parasite draw. You will not be able to run heavy loads in the coach without drawing down the batteries, but they will slowly charge back up at these settings.

Agree. This is exactly what we've done when we have the coach parked at our sticks and bricks.
