Stupid question...Surge Protector still working?
How do we know if our Progressive and Serge Guard Surge protectors are still working properly? Do they give an error codes if they stop functioning?
Suppose the Surge Protectors took a high voltage hit while we were away from RV and then reset by the time we got back to RV. Would they be worthless for protection without us knowing?
I checked PI website FAQ and found nothing regarding this and have called them left messages for tech help and emailed the passed two days but heard nothing back.
Sorry if this a stupid question,
Daphne

Old Biscuit posted the error codes in another post. Check the code in the window of the progressive. If it is E0 it is okay. Any other codes show, you had a problem. Do you have the owners manual? it is explains what each code stands for.
Your progressive should have come with an error code card. Mine is next to the readout so I don't have to look for it.

Got it! And got the card Old Biscuit posted.
We just worried we might get E0 and it could still be bad without us knowing.
Thank you!

My Progressive Portable Protector stopped working even though it shows EO(no error). I contacted Progressive Industries and was informed they no longer repair units and to email them a copy of the receipt and pictures of the unit and they sent me a new unit.

How did you realize it was no longer working?

When I plugged in the Surge Protector the air conditioners didn't come, the invertors weren't charging even though the surge protector didn't show any error code and then I plugged the cable from the coach directly into the power inlet and the air conditioner came on. When I got back to the house I plugged the surge protector into my 50Amp in the garage and still no power going to the coach.

I had two of the portable units fail due to water intrusion. Neither showed an error (other than telling me the power was bad). Progressive replaced both. All it cost me was the postage to get the failed units to North Carolina.

You don't even have to pay postage now since they don't do repairs anymore. You will get a replacement as long has you furnish them the required documentation.
