Super Slide Rail & Gear Wear
I have observed wear on the slide rail holes that engage the cog and on the cog gear (see photos). I am wondering if this is wear is normal and whether there is an adjustment to correct this. This wear is only seen on the super slide rails. The motor bolts are tight. I contacted CS and the tech stated this is normal but if so it would seem all slides would exhibit this wear. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Don't see any pictures, but mine probably has the same wear. I talked to production manager and he also said it's normal, but I'm going to pursue it further at my AIR. Doesn't look too good.
I see the pictures now. Same wear as mine.

Wear pattern
Looks like this must be a super heavy slide as the spokes wear the receiver holes as they exit the hole . Remember all things have their own expiration date you and I included. Just something to replace when the time is right .

Related to the OP's original question. My bed slide jerks as it goes in and out.... it does not move smoothly, but moves in a jerky motion. I assume that something is not adjusted right. Anyone have any experience with what is producing this jerking (I assume it is the pins going into the holes, but not sure what is wrong that produces this movement).

Gary,
Our bed slide had the exact same symptoms on our (New then) 2016 Anthem. It would jerk as it went in & out...definitely not smooth. While driving through a small TX town, I looked in the mirror and my bed slide had popped out on its own. The internal motor brake failed. Our coach was only 4 months old when this happened. For a while after that I carried a 2x4 and a small saw to make a block if it ever happened again. Couch cushions would also work to keep the slide secure while traveling. It’s an easy motor to replace and CS shipped me one overnight. Of course, this was before all of Entegra’s policy changes. Hope this helps.

Gary, check the bolts on the slide motor. The slide will do that if the motor is loose and it doesn't have to be loose much.
Roger, my 2002 Travel Supreme was the same way when I sold it in 2014. It never got any worse. I would check the motor bolts for tightness every couple of years even though they had lock tight on them.

While at the Spartan class, PJ came in for his day of training, and states this is normal, they want the cogs and holes to wear in. The following week I had to have the bearings in the rear most actuator rod replaced. Now just this week I had to replace the front bearings. In my 50 years of maintenance, never have I seen or been taught to have a pressure / load type device such as this not be lubed, which it is now. The problem with the bearings is 1) they are light duty flange bearings, 2) they are carrying the full weight of the slide, hence the premature failure. To top it off the folks at CS sent me a new kit, (shaft, cog, bearings) but want the old stuff back ?

Hopefully they will be looking at what happened along with the vendor, on a new coach and see if corrections can be made.

Chuck,
Wish had known to look for loose slide motor bolts when we bought coach...who knew(-: or perhaps we were just unlucky with the slide motor.

Alec, sad part, we all learn the hard way, at least I did. Sharing to help others to hopefully avoid problems is what it's all about. Those that never share

My gosh.... If those pictures are "normal" wear then someone at Entegra needs to get recalibrated for what is going on in the world. The condition of those holes and cogs is pitiful and I am surprised any competent engineer would acknowledge that as "normal". If I released those parts for production on anything (especially something costing half a million) I would be having nightmares over those pictures.
