We went for the express purpose of checking floor plans and interior finishes (regardless of RV manufacturer). We noted a return (by Fleetwood/American) to more "neutral" interiors ... white/off-white, oatmeal corian, carrera-style marble, softer/warmer colors of leather ... generally, a less "in your face" look. We liked it !! You could actually feel comfortable without all the interior lights on ... no cave experience.

The only " NEW " release that we saw was the 2016 American Eagle other then Tiffin's additional variation of the 45 floor plan. Still a great Super Show particularly as it was our first time.
We found it very interesting to meet some of the upper management in American, Entegra & Tiffin to be able to ask questions and exchange thoughts on various floor plans and give suggestions of what we might like changed after over 20 years of owning RV's even though we realize compromises must be made.
Several manufacturers are starting to offer at least one lighter exterior paint scheme and we wish others would follow. The dark colors look really great but get much hotter !

This was my first show, I went with the purpose of comparing Entegra and Newmar. I made those my first 2 stops, I wish very impressed with the execs from Entegra their accessibility, willingness to answer questions, and spend time with customers and potential customers. Both companies offer beautiful coaches, but I am leaning Entegra at this point and want to see what differences 2016 offers.
I am glad I went right to te Entegras then Newmars to compare the two because after that it almost becomes overwhelming. In a good way though!

Hello All
Maybe I missed reading a post on this, but was there a 44L at the show?
I see some dealers have orders placed but curious as to anyone's impressions to the build if it was there.
Thanks
Tom

They had the 44f there for test drives, Tadd described the 44L as the 44F with reinforced full side. I am sure I made that clear as mud, long story short no 44L yet.

Isn't Cruzer supposed to get the first 44L?

Definitely not going to get the 44L. Not a big fan of full-wall slides. However, there's a strong possibility that I might be found in a different Entegra floor plan this spring. We'll have to wait and see what rolls out with the new 2016s.

I am with you cruzer -- interested in the 2016 models.
Just have to be patient -- I guess.

At the Tampa show, we were told by management they made 5 of the full slide units and they will not be making any more. They had problems getting enough strength in the side wall, and they had to recall the 5 units and do an an expensive re-work to make them right. They concluded that it would be too expensive to build a full wall slide that meets their standards. While the original 5 are now considered first rate, they will not build any more. Instead they will be building a "near full wall" slide (my term). Similar to the 44B, it will have two slides with a small-ish column between them, but like the 44B, will have the appearance of a full wall opening when the slides are open.
I think they are right on with this thinking. You will get all the advantages of a full-wall slide without the structural disadvantages.

To me that speaks volumes about Entegra's integrity. Full wall slides are popular with many brands and their are prospective buyers who won't buy anything but a full wall slide. Yet, Entegra won't sacrifice the quality of their build just to grab a few more sales.
I like their idea that they first brought out in the 44B with that small column that gives you the support but still gives you that open full wall slide look. Really, when you think about it, the only reason that some buyers want the full wall slide floorplans is because of the open look so it shouldn't be a negative to potential sales once they think about it. As a matter of fact, if a salesperson is on the ball they can turn it to Entegra's advantage by explaining the benefits of the extra strength. Then again, we all know how sharp some of these RV salespersons are.

The word is that Lazydays sold 7 Entegras and RVOne also sold 7 (only showed the Precept). Wonder what the numbers would be if RVOne was handling the show. Flora and I attended the Lazydays exhibit at least 6 times during the show and a salesman never approached us. Now I know why they call it Lazydays.

Cruzer
Your post on 9/3 in the thread: "Wow, Anthem full wall slide, New" (Sorry, don't know how to include attachment on the iPad).
Post 28 shows a 44L with four(4) wall slides. This is the one I was referring to.
Has that been placed on hold or is that iteration in production?
I do agree, if not done right, a FWS could be problematic but what I see most though is the reduced upper cabinet storage and reduced basement height. I don't think I would trade valuable storage for a more open layout. Especially if we FT.
Just my opinion.
Thanks.
Tom
