Pat, very well said. I'll bet have read the mods post front to back at least 6 times and enjoyed it more each time.
Another good point about the magnets in all 4 corners. I can't wait to get started on the mod and wish I had my plexiglass sheets with me.

I just tried the two screw method, Pat was right, it does not work. There is not enough stability and the vents rock with just center magnet mounts. In addition many of the factory screws are not put in straight. Trying to use the same holes does not allow the flat head screw to make good contact with the magnets.

Guess we will all have to do the 4 corner method as Pat suggested. Thanks for trying it. Lynn

Tell others about your modifications
Luan will work, but I was looking for whatever would allow me to line everything up as square as possible. So I went to Ace Hardware and asked if they had a piece of 1/16" plexiglas about 6"x12". Cost me $1.00.
Cut it with a multi tool....which I carry onboard
I'll be home on 8/9/15 if you want to borrow the template.....actually will be pulling in to Lazy Days so they can fix Their screw up.......
Call me.....if you need my #send a PM.

Just completed the air vent mod. What a difference it makes when changing filters. No more worrying about stripped screws. Thanks for the great idea. Next mod, electric drain valves.

Tom, A Drumel Tool will also work well to cut plexiglass. I use the diamond cutoff wheels from Harbor Freight.

Excellent! I want that. I half-time and leave my gray closed except when dumping.
How difficult was it to run the wires up to the switches in the midship bath?

It wasn't that hard. I used a metal fish tape ( wire puller). The only issue I had was it kept getting under the half bath cabinet, so I had to take the cabinet bottom out. Only four screws. Pulled the wire from inside to out. Used 10 conductor 22awg wire. The hardest part was dodging the screws sticking out the back side of the panel. Lots of cuts and scraps. If you have any questions let me know I would be happy to share schematics and some hook up ideas.

Follow up on magnetic fasteners for my vents.
Today, I'll finish the 1900 mile run back to Tampa, and over some of the roughest roads we've been on...not a single vent popped off. They work!
