Texas weather

You can't rely on Texas weather. I winterized my Anthem just before the winter storm we had in early December. About 4 days into the storm I realized I neglected to run antifreeze through the fridge, dishwasher and clothes washer. We had already experienced the lowest lows forecast so any damage was history.

I had the coach at the house for a week or so recently, we had some lows in the high teens but I was able to run Aquahot and didn't worry. I thought our coldest weather for the year was behind us and took the coach back to storage last Saturday.

Now we get another winter storm; lows down to low teens for the last 2 nights, highs only reached the mid 20s! If it wasn't broken before and hasn't broken now it won't!

I should have spent the 20 minutes it would have taken to run antifreeze into the areas I neglected but I thought the worse was behind us.

Hindsight is always 20/20!

I absolutely agree with your Dad, I just misused some lazy rationale!

Surely we're through for this year!

Vance, I sure hope there will not be any damage. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. I wish I could send you some of our 80 degree weather to help you get through your freeze that is coming.

6:00 yesterday we were at 25 degrees. It's 6:00 now and 63!

You have to love Texas weather!

(My son in Boise is shoveling snow for the third day in a row! He has a huge driveway and has to keep it clear in case he or his wife get called into the hospital)

We are "chompin' at the bit" to get on the road! Our coach has been home since the first week of December and that's just wrong!

We are thinking about a short trip to Colorado Landing in LaGrange.

Temps better darn well warm up in the next 15 days. I'm coming that way and I'm tired of rain and cold in FL.

certainly will spend some time in Aledo (visiting family for a couple of days in Ft Worth). Trying to decide if we want to spend a few days in the Rio Grande Valley looking at south Texas possibilities for next Winter.

We can leave the coach in storage when you're in Aledo, it's next door. Are you familiar with the parks here? I used to buy propane at the park in Aledo, it's a little cramped but appears well kept. There is another on the west side of Weatherford that is supposed to be pretty nice. Let me know and I will check it out.

I spent a week in Aledo last fall. That park is nice and roomy. The interior roads are crappy, take it slow. Lots of long-term residents. Not a great park, but not bad.
