Things you don't like about your Entegra

I was ask this question at lunch today after a 1200 mile round trip spending five nights in the coach.

I had to think hard.
The DW did not like the bed but you guys led us to the 3" foam topper at Walmart and for $149.00 it's great now. Scratch that one.

The only thing I could come up with were maybe two more light switches and a few more inches on each side of the bed to make it easier to make. Maybe remove some of the counter top material around the bed. We like having the ledge to put a book you are reading or your glasses but the bed is really hard to make. It's also hard to get to the seat back release (to recline) on the passenger side seat. Also I can't see the panel on the front of the microwave. It does not light up (or we don't know how to turn it on).

Now there are a few other things I would change if I started with a clean sheet of paper but that is not the question I'm asking. What do you not like about the coach? So saying that, I have to take the light switches off my list because I don't dislike them. Not really anything but a little clearance around the bed and passenger seat.

The coach drives like no motorhome I have ever driven but that is for another post.

Did I tell you how much I love this Aspire?

Ditto about making the bed. This is a huge peeve.

You don't have this problem withe the Aspire but us Anthem owners have motorized shades that cannot be controlled in the way we want to use them. This was voicd by several,people at Summerfest.

Thermostats work poorly, do not control the AC's as they should.

Furniture cold be more comfortable.

Oher gripes to follow.

Drives great!
Insulation is super. Right now i am sitting in full sun with 99 degrees out and it is cool inside.

Light switches you have to reach when slides are closed. Bedroom and kitchen.

Curved dash that makes it difficult to mount dash cam/gps etc, also has no pull out shelf with outlet to use as tablet/puter station going down the road. My old Safari had it, very convenient.

Kind of tight squeeze between the fridge and the dining table. Maybe someone is trying to tell me something?

Had the same problem with our 2002 DSDP, when I was at Newmar in 2004 I had them remove some of the shelf and redo the edging. Still hard to do but not impossible now. No charge either.

Getting the bed made - since I end up pulling the mattress down each time in order to get the fitted sheet tucked, sooner or later I'm bound to mess up those air tubes. The lack of a pantry on our older version of the Aspire (and we are managing fine without it....I just would like to have had it). The inability to fully recline the passenger's seat when it's turned around (or am I the only one that runs into the shade?). If I swing it so the footrest will come up, then I can only tip the chair back slightly, not like a full recliner. No big, but it would be nice to be able to lay it back a little further when I'm just reading, not watching TV. Can't think of much else.

That's a really short list of pretty minor dislikes - especially when I compare it to what we didn't like about our former coaches. Did I mention that we love our Aspire! But whoever designed that bed never had to make one!

Hi IRV2 Friends,

Hm-m-m-m...

That IS a hard question !!

Since we gross out at

60,000+ pounds, it is

occasionally a bit

of a stretch

to do a proper wheelie,

but other than that,

no major gripes !!

Virtually every place

we travel to, folks are

universally awed by the

coach's exterior...

The interior furnishings

and bedding are more elegant

and comfortable than many

luxury hotels we have

stayed at around the world.

It's a great

vacation get-away

place to hang out

with best friends....

Oh...and it also cruises

down the highway in

style and comfort like

no other form of

ground transportation

in the history of

mankind.

~~~
So, yeah...if they could just
supercharge the engine,
or better still,
add-on a full throttle
afterburner, we could
probably get over our
challenge with the
"We-can't-do-a-wheelie"
motorcoach dilemma.
:-)
Life Is Good.
Cheers,
Gary & Carol
Only one concern and that I ditto with others-----The dining chair next to the refrigerator is a very tight squeeze.
Making the bed in the DEQ is mucch easier than in previous coaches. I just shove a little to the right, then shove a little to the left.
Gary you got it pegged, we love our Entegra too.
I'm not sure about anything that will help with the wheelies but I just found a Nigerian website that's got a special kit promising 50 miles per gallon. The best part is its only $99.00 by electronic funds transfer from my bank account. I'm getting one, you should too! I can send you the link ;-)
There are so many things I love about our Anthem that I really hate to complain about anything ....but since you asked here are the things I dislike in priority order:
1. The tiny window openings which make it difficult to get adequate air flow.
2. The inability to control the shades individually.
3. Tight space between dining chair and refrigerator.
4. Difficult to make bed.
5. Too many remotes!
6. Microwave is difficult to see.
7. All tv's are HD but can't get Direct tv in HD without expensive upgrade.
8. The high gloss tile shows EVERY footprint.
I had to think long and hard to come up with this list and just glad I did not have to type a list of the hundreds of things I love!
We love are 2013 Aspire RBQ....If I had a to make some changes I would
1. Improve the fuel quantity gauge or install a fuel flow monitor.
2. Provide an illumination system for the light switches that can be dimmed at night without making them invisible .
3. Arrange the light switches in some sort of logical order.
4. Extend the seat belt buckle strap to make it easier to buckle in.
Over all this is an incredible coach and we are pleased with our choice !
The air management system is very very badly in need of improvement, in a word, terrible. The shade controls are a huge problem that needs to be addressed. LOVE the rest of the coach EXCEPT you can not get into the bedroom with the slide closed , another area that should be addressed.
Can you elaborate in a little more detail what needs to be improved re the "air management system"?
