Those d@#$ birds
I went to the lot where I rent a spot for my Aspire, to do a few things and take it for a drive, and noticed some twigs hanging from the tiny slots in the slide topper roll. A little investigation revealed that there were bird nests on 3 of the 4 slides. I can't think of a way to keep the little buggers out. The topper shell is a couple inches wider than the slide on each side, and the birds us that as a doorway. Anybody have any ideas?

I have the same problem on my new Cornerstone and no ideas what to do, except clean them out every time they show up. 🚌🚓

In Spring, I`ve taken to keeping the slides closed unless I am at the coach.

What about installing an owl with a bobble head or rubber snake, worked for keeping ducks off boats at marina?

We had a problem with swallows wanting to build in the rafters of the motorhome garage and DH solved that by hanging bird netting (used by orchards) across the door near the top. It's high enough so we can walk under it and get our tractor out but the birds won't go in.
I'm not sure how it could be used if you're coach is parked outside though. Rubber snakes & owls like some have mentioned might work for a while but that's the reason we went to the netting. Our birds learned that the big blow up snake we had in the rafters didn't move.

The Beast is in a lot with the slides closed, parked with more than 100 others. Many birds abound. The design of the slide topper allows a small bird to enter even with the slides closed.
I need a giant hair net - a cap of netting with elastic around the bottom.

Yep, I'm covered up with sparrows. I have multiple owls and owl eyes hanging and blowing to no avail. Regarding the awning covers, I've taken styrofoam cups and shove them in the ends of the awning covers when slides are in. Requires a ladder but works well to keep sparrows out. I don't have any bird problems when slides are out though so they must like the small cramped areas only. I haven't found a solution to the sparrows but glad they are only seasonal. Tommy

Try hanging a CD from a string. The birds don't like the reflections as the wind rotates the CD around.
