Tire/wheel issue

Just returned home from a 3600 mile trip to Key West In our 2016 Cornerstone . Several days after we returned I noticed a flat tire on the left rear dual. I checked the rest of the tires and found that the right rear dual only had 30 psi. I took it to a truck tire shop here in Cedar Rapids Iowa. They found both valve stems were leaking and said the valve stems were not the correct stems for the wheels. They replaced the valve stems with a correct and better valve stem. FYI check your valve stems with by pouring some soap and water on them and see if any bubbles appear.
I have since ordered a tire monitoring system....

Yes, we all need to be making sure we have high pressure valve stems vs the standard rubber stems. Std is only good to 60psi, I believe.

I would love to know what Spartan has to say about how they provided a chassis with "incorrect" valve stems on a K3 chassis. Can you tell us what was it that made them incorrect?

Something to do with the size and the 'O' rings that seal the valve stem into the wheel

As an owner you have 2 choices: either have a tire monitoring system or check your tire pressure regularly!

I had the same issue and it was a leaky valve stem. Pretty sure it was when I put the tire monitor system on....think I tighten them too much and ruined the orings. New stem and problem went away

Same thing happened back in 2003 when my Travel Supreme was new. Things haven't changed. I learned my lesson then how new owners need to check everything very close on the first few trips. It's hard getting past the shinny new paint to do that.

Our new to us MH had a very slow leak on inner dual. It was a leaking valve stem; replaced all with bolt-on valves, no more leaks!
About $350 installed
