Tow Vehicle Connection

What is the standard tow vehicle plug, that I'll plug into, supplied on the 2016 Anthem?

I want to make sure that when I pick up my coach I'll be able to plug in my truck so that I have all of my lights and signals.

Thanks......

Uhh...you can't unless you want to play "You Bet Your Electrical System"! I'd still put the circuit tester onit to make sure, or pay someone to map my plug. Sitting behind my MH (and my suburban) facing forward, the towing vehicle's seven pin is thus:
At 1:30 is the Hot lead, to keep your battery supplied
At 3:00 is the Right signal and brake lite
At 4:30 is the brake signal for the electric brakes in your towed
At 7:30 is the ground
At 9:00 is the left signal and brake lite
At 10:30 is your running lights.
My center pin is open.
I'm wondering if everyone's is the same; is this the common way to connect a seven pin?

Hope this attachment makes it, but this is what's on the tow vehicle. My assumption is that Entegra supplies the mating end.....

I bought the adapter plug at Walmart from the large 7 pin plug to the small 6 wire round plug for the electrical cord to the toad. That may change when I get the new toad. I think I will get a new electrical cord with the large 7 pin plug and 6 pin round to the toad.

Are you sure you have a 7 round pin plug/receptacle? That is typically used by commercial truck/trailers and has different connectivity than a 7-blade RV plug/receptacle.

Here is a site with most of the umbilical cords with connections on the market. https://www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-Acc...Extension.aspx
Here is another site that had them for $35. but they only list complete wiring kits now. I am going to call them Monday and see if the still sell just the cords. JK Tow Harness Deluxe Kit - CoolTechLLC

I found the cord for $30. They use to have different Toad ends on them, but I don't know if they do now or not. It's easy to put the end on that you like and the cords are a lot cheaper than the tow companies cords. Tow Harness Umbilical Cord - CoolTechLLC

All RV's use the seven flat pin RV plug. The pinout is standardized so there is no confusion and you can plug into any RV. The plug on your toad cord should have the male RV plug that mates to the motorhome and only a 4 pin round connector on the toad. You only need parking lights, right and left turn signals and ground wires for the toad.

Unless you want a charge line and a brake applied notification light, then a 6 pin toad connection would be the minimum.
