I don't have a stacker but do have an Anthem. One of the issues that you need to evaluate is whether the hitch receiver on the Anthem is sufficient to pull a fully loaded stacker. The receiver on the Cornerstone is 5,000 to 10,000 greater in towing capacity and rating than the Anthem... I have seen an Aspire pulling a 3 axle stacker loaded and asked the owner what the weight on the trailer was and it was a good 5,000 pounds more than his hitch was rated to handle and he didnt seem too concerned.

We know our hitch is rated at 15,000 lbs and we would be within that limit. We wouldn't go over that limit for insurance reasons. We now a trailer loaded that weighs 7500 lbs. No issues, does great. Just want to know how the additional weight of 7500 lbs handles. Thanks for your input Gary.

What do you expect your overall length to be?

Yes, the Anthem hitch receiver is 15,000# and the Cornerstone hitch receiver is rated for 20,000#. My memory was off by 5,000#.

The triple axle stackers that I have seen are usually between 24 and 30' long.

Our coach is rated for 15,000/1,500. ISL 450. We pull a 13,500 stacker. I am happy with the performance. We lose about 1 mpg+/- with it attached.

Looked at a steel stacker but the curb was 12,000. Had InTech build an all aluminum stacker with custom deck. Curb is 6350 so lots of room for toys.

Gary,

I recently looked at a 20' tri-axle. Still too far over Texas law for me especially after you add 54" tongue.

The problem with being over length in some states is that they my not stop you to give you a ticket if you are involved in any accident even if it is not your fault you could get a ticket I was told by a state trooper if it's the rcw's of the state you my not be stopped but if something goes wrong you will be written up i have the same problem my monaco is 42 and if I add a stacker I'm over about a couple of feet

We've been looking at 22-24 foot box plus the hitch adds another 5'.

If someone could come up with a sliding tongue when going down the road you shorted the tongue and when you get of the freeway you lengthen out the tongue dump trucks have used that for years

I can't recall ever seeing or hearing of an RV/Motorhome getting stopped for excess loads/weights either. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened. I'm always more curious about the outcome of an accident or lawsuit rather than what I personally observe.

I bring this up because you mentioned your concern about weights relative to your insurance. Im curios what your agent would say about exceeding your states OAL rqmt?

These states really need to take a closer look at these requirements. 65' is BS IMO.

Wonder how truckers get away with it. They are 70-80 feet long. I would think that weight is more an issue than length in regards to an accident? Sure wish there were an exact answer to all of this.

Very true about the outcome. We will call our insurance to get their answer. Maybe we should ask on this forum about anyone's experiences regarding the overlength issue.
