Travel R Satellite HD Receiver
My satellite quit receiving all HD channels today. It does receive regular channels but no HD. Is this something the average guy can fix or do I need professional help?

Could a bad receiver with the HD section or a bad LNB and not getting the HD satellites signal. LNB is more likely but call your Winegard and they can help troubleshoot. JMHO

Are you receiving all of the Satellites? My Traveler, if blocked will only received the SD birds. What antenna do you have? Go into your receiver menu and check "signal strength" and see what the HD satellite signal strength is.
DISH or Direct TV?

Agree that you must be sure all three birds are being received.
I had a skinny palm tree blocking me once. Moved two feet and things came alive

Try rebooting the reciever. Simple things first. You can press the reset but I prefer to unplug it for a few seconds.

No obstructions or loose cables. Was getting error code 771. I was on the beach in SoCal (free Kelly Pickler concert). I did unplug, reboot, reauthorized, everything I could think of. It was clear out, no weather! Signal strengths excellent. In fact, I had HD for a few minutes and then poof, gone. It was a little windy but not bad.

Look at the LED readout on the receiver, it should show 3 satellites. If it only shows 1 or 2 then that is the problems. Could be a tree or other obstacle.

Which Sat provider, and what dish is on the roof, a Traveler or Dome?

By chance is this a fairly new DTV subscription or have you changed packages. If so your "freeview" may be over. Not all HD channels are available on all packages.

I’ve had the subscription for several months but I’ll check with them again just in case. I was on phone with Tech Services last night and they didn’t mention anything like that to me.

Usually with a new subscription you get everything for 3 months then it reverts back to whatver is in your package
