The gravity connection is a ribbed flexible hose on my 17. In my case the hose was too long and curved down like a trap, but still prevented water from going into the tank. Nobody’s is plumbed to go up, the hose is just too long.

I am too insecure with bypassing my white hose. Running the bleach though that hose also kills any bacterial lingering in the hose itself. It may not get rid of everything, but something is better than nothing. It is simple enough and I am sure its clean. As one of the posters stated, I know what is going in at home, but on the road, it's another story.

I don't have a photo, but as Bill and Lynne said, the hose is simply too long. On mine, it goes back (towards the center of the coach), then curves up before curving down to the tank. Shortening the hose should fix it.

I so happen to have my water fill connection out of the coach for two problems. The hose connection to the fill can indeed point up as it is angled. Ours was installed that way, it just needs to be turned. The hose length can be an issue as mentioned. Also we had water leakage out of the water fill when the fresh water tank was overfilled to overflowing. I didn't get original pictures of the setup but the 2 pex overflow lines were very long and curved up over the height of the water fill line. So when the water level in the tank forced water out of the overflow it also came out of the water fill. I replumbed the overflow lines and that fixed the problem.

On my 2018 Aspire the filler is usable to add water or chlorine/bleach.

In the picture shown it looks upside down. Also, it is mounted too low and should be above the top of the tank. ... if I interpret the picture correctly.

On the "foamy" water. I've found that to be a PEX thing. PEX is the type of pipe used for the water system. We had PEX installed in our home and had the same issue. When you first run the water it's foamy for maybe 60 seconds and then clears up. Apparently there are different kinds, or manufacturers, of PEX so your mileage may vary but for us Entegra owners it may be common (when new). It's not supposed to be a problem.

That said, I will sanitize my system, using the procedures outlined, and see if it helps the foaminess. It's not severe, but it is noticeable.

Regards,
