were not engineered with truck washes in mind, and the related pressure

Blue Beacon does have acid prewash. If you tell them no acid you will see that the washers will change sprayers they use. Acid is used on the shiny wheels to get the road grit out. it will dull your wheels over time not just one wash. If you don't want them to spray certain areas just tell them and the won't. If you have water coming in your widows around the seals maybe you should get some new seals.

Have used two, one of them a Blue Beacon.. The BB seemed to know what they were doing with an RV.

Advantages: Well it's no work for you, they seem to do a decent job (I got complements on how good the rig looked when I parked a few miles away.. IT was rather dirty when I pulled in).

Disadvantages: They do not always do the roof, they use pressure washers and have been known to take out a control board on a fridge or other device behidn a vented panel, they can blast past seals on slides and windows if not careful (BB does train I understand but ... I'm not sure of that) and of course the cost. Often a couple bucks a foot for a simple wash.

Still, given the imrpovement in MPG you can get from a wash and a wax... Might be a good idea.

Went through one once. Never again.

My refrigerator didn't work for 24 hours after that.

The high presssure sprayer must have messed it up.

The original poster is an Entegra owner, and Entegra subcontracts their painting to Precision Paint. When I visited Precision earlier this year, they gave me a handout which provides some do's and don'ts for paint protection. Most are obvious, such as don't park under trees, bugs or bird droppings should be washed off as soon as detected or don't drive on gravel roads, but another of the don'ts was "commercial washing should be avoided."
