TST sensor batteries

I have seen discussions about how long TPMS sensor batteries last but don't recall the answers. TST says batteries in their sensors last 18-24 months, depending on use. I bought and installed the 507 system about August 2013. I have flow-thru on the coach and non-flow-thru on the toad. I replaced my first flow-thru sensor battery just before we left for our winter trip in early November and replaced 3 more today. That makes 40-41 months and well over 30,000 miles. I'm sure the rest will need to be replaced soon. Replacing batteries on the flow-thru is easy as long as you have a sharp, jeweler's Phillips screwdriver. All my gaskets survived but I coated them with silicon grease when I replaced the battery cover. I remove the toad sensors between trips.

Mine have been going strong for 24 months now except for one battery replacement on a flow through sensor. The non flow through sensor batteries are supposed to last 5 years and cannot be user replaced.

Tst 507

Mine ran from February, '16 to November, '16. Had to replaced all 12 sensors batteries.

What am I doing wrong?

Based on the battery performance Don and I are seeing I think you should contact TST. It doesn't make sense that all 12 died so quickly.

I have three years on my batteries. I'll most likely replace them in the spring. Evenj though they are still working.

I have replaced 3 of 12 batteries in 15 months, 2 of them on the toad (Non Flo Thru), and I leave them on year round - may be part of the issue with those.

The other one was on my tag, and the end of the sensor sheared off last weekend while topping off the tire at the storage facility. The monitor did report a rapid loss.

So can you buy batteries at some local Best Buy or hardware store?

Last time I checked Amazon was the best price. You could replace all of the batteries for what a set of toad batteries cost at a retail store.

If someone has the battery size for the EEZ handy, I will order a spare set.

My TST sensors take the CR-1632. Some sensor batteries seem to last longer than others, maybe some don't hibernate well?

I just checked the EEZ, they take the same size. Here are the prices and choices on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...R+1632+BATTERY

Yep, my 15 pack of Sony's just arrived. I lost two sensors in the last month. I'm going to replace all of them at once.

I use (brand X). I replace every 12 months as they will send me new batteries every year.
