TST TPMS 507 Repeater

Hi All,

Anyone installed and used the TST 507 Repeater on a 2017 Anthem 44b?

How is it working for you? And I am looking for suggestion on mounting location and 12V tie in. I am kind of thinking in the 1/2 bath but not sure.

Thanks

John

I do not have the same coach as you, but I use the repeater and mounted it in the battery compartment.

I don't have the same coach but the TST is not brand specific.
I have mine mounted in the mid coach bathroom.

Yes. It will work just about anywhere in the coach.

After numerous problems with dependability over almost a year TST sent me a repeater wired to a 12V adapter. Plugged into a 120V to 12V adapter I was able to try the repeater in just about every possible location inside the coach. Every location worked fine until we had been driving for a couple of hours, whereupon we would lose connections with the sensors. It turned out the problem was a bad monitor. TST was very helpful, but I got tired of moving the repeater.

Mine now sits in a small tray and is plugged into a 120V to 12V adapter plugged into the outlet above the bedroom vanity. When not in use (about 98% of the time) I put it in the cabinet behind the bedroom TV. I actually like this setup better than any of the hardwired setups I tried.

FYI TST also has a larger antenna that can be used in place of the short stubby. Basically a 6' or so cable to a T with the antenna on either side. That did improve my reception. Antenna mounted on the drivers side outside cabinet side. Still would drop the passenger inside tire occasionally. Since I had the repeater from a previous install I put that in the 1/2 bath cabinet on my DutchStar and no problems since then.

I'v had it in the closet in the back twice - using the light for power. Currently it's near the chassis batteries. We've never had a problem with the coach or the toad tires.

I plug mine into a power outlet in the toad and set the repeater on the dash.

Mine is alligator clipped to one of the starting batteries. Serves two purposes, powers the repeater and forces me to inspect my batteries ever time I use the TPMS. Un-clip one of the alligator clips when we park it for the winter.

I wired it to the closet light.

On a slightly different topic, I have the new color monitor and can say it’s really slick, and much easier to read in any ambient lighting situation.

So far, I’m quite impressed with this system and it was very easy to set up.
