Ugly!

2 of my routes have bridges label 13'6". I have only gone under each one once but duck whenever I do. I think I will quit using those routes!

Ouch! That has to be the quickest removal of 2 AC units and a satellite dome.

You can't drive a 12'11" Newell under a 12' bar at Walmart either. Ask my dad. Took out 2 of his Penguin II's and a satellite dish.

Hope I never do it.

Talking

A friend of mine and his DW in AZ last summer was driving thru a small town in So. Az. pulling a fifth wheel. They passed a small pizza shop and decided to circle around a couple of blocks and go back for a pizza. Unbeknownst to them they snagged a telephone pole cross wire and proceeded to pull down three poles and some lines. They pulled into the Pizza hut lot, still oblivious to the carnage they had just caused, went in to order and was told "sorry can't do, we just had a power outage." About then a couple of police officers walked in to have a chat with them. True story.

When you hear those radio antennas hit, you know you're OK, but not so OK that you don't want to take anything but the middle. OTOH, when you head to Charlotte for Spartan and on North on that interstate, you're going to be ducking a lot

We've held our breaths a few times. Now I think I will need to have a towel in the driver's seat.

My antennas hit the roof as I pull out of storage, nothing happens at 3MPH but I wonder what would happen at 60MPH?

We grew up in the northeast and are all too familiar with low clearance bridges. There's even a sign for the Maine Turnpike (I95) or I295 (can't recall which) that warns of clearances of 13'6". Lower coach height is one of the reasons we were drawn to Entegra for our next coach. Many of the other options are 13'3"+. The CS being 12'11" (and the Anthem 12'9") is appreciated.

I believe that the normal height for bridges on the NY Thruway is 13' 6" and I believe any bridge less than that anywhere in NY State has to be marked with its clearance. I'm not aware of any state where the unmarked bridges are less than 13' 6". Are there any that are less?

That particular bridge is fairly notorious...

It's bad when a truck driver doesn't know high tall his rig is. I'm sure that one is looking for a different occupation.
