Vega Touch A/C problem

2020 Aspire. I'm plugged into 50 amp shore power and A/C's not cooling. They running but it's 88-90* inside. (No breakers thrown)

Everything on Vega touch set correct, i.e. cool, auto fan and 76*. Display on all 3 zones reads "SHED"

Called Fire Fly and they said invertor is ON and unit is 'shedding' power and A/C won't work correctly. Turn invertor OFF. (I now have to manually turn invertors OFF when I shut down coach?)

So I go to the coach and invertor only has 2 settings, Pass Thru and Disabled so I choose 'Disabled."

A/C Power Source is showing No Shore when I am in fact plugged in.

Charger choices are Float and Disabled and I left on Float.

Still says SHED and it's still not cooling.
Help! This Vega Touch is going to take getting used to.

Thanks in advance.

Until you get that figured out, on my '18 Anthem (I know, different year, different model, but, with VegaTouch), in the compartment over the entry door, there are three "override" switches that will turn on the air conditioning with a command of, if I recall correctly, 75 degrees. As I understand that bypasses the VegaTouch input.

Good luck.

Take care,
Stu

Is the breaker on the pedestal turned on ? Do you have an EMS and is it blocking the shore power because of low voltage or an improper ground issue ?

If it a vega touch issue, reboot 12v power supply. After the last vega touch update, I had to reboot three times before the A/C's would start working.

Start the generator and see if you get shore power.

Yes sir. All green lights on the EMS (surge protector?) and breaker good. Thanks for the heads up!

I did reboot and at the same time I engaged the 3 AC over rides above the door. Will see in the morning if reboot helped. It did get rid of the SHED message (as in shedding power). Thanks!

I have done that so at least it'll cool down. Thanks for the reminder!

I'm a process engineer (Electrical Degree) by trade and have tons of experience with translating between various interfaces / protocols with different systems. With our coaches I can't believe we don't have a more common standard, such as bluetooth to communicate between devices. If bluetooth were not developed in it's time the wireless connectivity issues would mimic our current vega touch systems...There should be a standard comm for devices on RVs and it should be a standard for any device added to a modern coach...

My 18 had a similar problem...plugged into 50 amps but no A/C ! Issue was communication wire from the transfer switch to Vega touch that indicated how much power from shore ... problem was a bad crimp at the plug located on bottom of transfer switch... wires fell out when plug removed . Plug is a telephone wire type plug. The wire is about 18” long , plugs into wire harness.

Thanks for confirming it does happen. Usually starting the generator will tell if there is a shore power problem. At least it narrows it down to where to start looking.

Your Vegatouch is not showing any volts, amps, of frequency sense for line 1 or line 2. The connection at the transfer switch may be disconnected or poor contact.

As Chuck mentioned try starting the generator and see if the AC will run.
