Warren Dunes State Park

Hi Everyone,

My wife and I will be heading to the Spartan Academy in Charlotte, MI in May. After the Academy we were planning to spend a couple of days in MI before heading back to Madison.

Has anyone ever stayed at Warren Dunes State Park on Lake Michigan in Sawyer, MI. Their state DNR reservation line indicates they can accommodate our 43' Anthem, but I'm a little worried getting in and out without "local info".

I believe we had seen positive recommendations about the small towns in that area on the western side of MI. Our thought is we will need a few days to "un-wind" after the Academy.

We have been there many times. It is one of our favorite places. There are pull throughs that can handle a 40+ foot MH. as well as backin sites. All of the sites are good sized.

Thanks for the reply Wbraunbe and glad to hear the positive report. We were worried because the reservation center said there was only one spot that would work, even though it appeared they weren't very full. Do you know if any of the sites have full hookups? They are telling us it is 50 amp only even though their website talks about full hookups. Thanks again.

I enjoyed the Spartan school. Make sure you have the inspection done as it showed up issues on the coach that needed attention. They take good care of you while you are there with lots of information and great food!

We have really been enjoying our first Entegra rally here at Homecoming and we are looking forward to the Spartan school. I'll make sure to confirm we are signed up for the inspection. Thanks for the info.
