Washer Problem
Trying to use my washer for the first time. Set it on normal wash, it does some things then it gives me a F7 code. Can any one help?

Are you hooked to city water sometime you have to be, then sometime not after all lines get pressured.

Hooked up to city water. We ran the Clean Washer cycle and that was fine. Put it on quick wash and it spins sounds like water coming in, then it gives a F7 code.

First, turn it off and wait for at least five minutes until the door unlocks. Remove all items. Do a spin and drain. Then start over. If that doesn't work, you may have a drain clogged (but since you're new and first time, it may just be too much in the washer holding to much water). Others have had to clean the drain...you can read those threads on how (last was about 10 days ago). At least that is a first try at getting you going.
These washers are pretty finicky.

It sounds like Dave is right. Here are the possible problems for the F7 code as listed by Whirlpool. I have learned something again. https://www.whirlpool.com/product-he...washer/PH4849/
If you cannot reach the plug, tripping the circuit breaker will do the same thing if you need to go that far and do a reset.

Just relating DW's continued experience with the washer. She just got an F7 the other day again...her comment was she was getting cocky about how much and what mix...and it zapped her. These washers work pretty well, but learning what works and doesn't work in how to use them (what to put in, how much, and in what combinations) is a learning experience.

Think I got it working, pushed the cancel drain then made sure it was turned off. Turned it back on and put it on casual wash, it worked and completed the cycle.
Hopefully it won't give me that code next time. Thanks for the help and suggestions.

We got a code first time we tried to use ours. F7 sounds familiar but ours was low water flow. Turns out the valve behind the wall was turned off. During our CDI the tech assured us he ran a full cycle and even showed us that the drum was wet. It has worked like a champ ever since.
