In Oregon, we love the Rogue River area. Stayed in Medford and then spent a night at Morrison's Lodge to fish. Bridgeview RV Park - the host provided great homemade bread!

We stayed in a great little park right on the Pacific in Yachats, the Sea Perch.

In Astoria we had a couple of good days at the Lewis and Clark Golf and RV park. This was pretty much the end of the L & C expedition

Go on the jet boat ride up the Rogue River from Gold Beach. We've been on it twice. Jerry's Rogue Jets. Stop at the pull-out just before Sea Lion Caves and look to the south for a good look at Heceta Head Lighthouse, the most photographed place on the Oregon Coast.

Just west of Port Angles WA you need to check out the Salt Creek Recreation Area, this time of year you shouldn't have an issue getting one of the first come sites overlooking the straits between the US and Canada. Several nice State Parks around Port Townsend as well. In the Anacortes area we normally stay at the Fidalgo Bay Resort which is convenient for exploring the area and taking ferries into the San Juan Islands. A little ways off the coast but recommend the Evergreen Air and Space Museum in McMinnville, OR, hard to see it all in one day. Very nice RV place next to it and Evergreen permits dry camping on their premises for two nights as well. Many wineries in the area as well. You might also enjoy visiting Bend OR, a rapidly growing area in the high desert of OR. Don't wait too long in mid-late Sept the rainy winter can set in, especially in WA.

Must see places but if only one time through the Northwest:
Olympic Peninsula, hurricane ridge, and the great trees in Quinault.
My Rainier
Crater Lake
Columbia Gorge drive until The Dallas and then drive down central Oregon thru the high desert to Bend.
Shoot over to Oregon coast and drive up stopping at Tillamook, cannon Beach, Hug Beach and Seaside.
Plenty of Casinos with free parking and some with Hookups.
Search farmers markets as you go, there's lots of them!

Weirba & others, We will be leaving New England and heading to Yellowstone, Glacier, Calgary, Banff, Lake Louise, Dawson Creek, multiple Alaska stops, YT stops , back into BC stopping in Prince George. All of this is pretty much set !

Our plans from Prince George SOUTH are in the very early stages of thought. Your input on route, stopovers etc would be much appreciated. We are leaning towards the Bellingham area but please advise.

We have RV friends on Vancouver Island that we want to visit but leave our coach's on the mainland. So maybe in the Port Angeles area ?

Would like to visit Olympic National Park, Mt. Rainier and in Oregon, Crater Lake.
So, the other half of "We" is us. Hopefully the 2018 Super Bowl Champion Patriots will have their 2019 schedule announced before we leave. Wouldn't mind seeing them beat a couple more west coast teams again. Tickets? RV parks near Stadium access? Tailgating?

RV Parks within a short distance of a decent golf course or two would be nice as well.

Brain, the wineries on the CA coast as you head south in Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo are very nice The Redwoods in NO CA are not to be missed. Hard to find a bad place to visit in OR. In Newport you can purchase fresh Albacore Tuna and Salmon right off the boats at the docks. Both excellent on the grill that night Great quality and prices. The jet boat trips are awesome.

Speaking of tuna, when you visit Astoria be sure to check out the line at the Bowpicker across from the maritime museum. There is a reason for the line. Plenty to see in the Astoria area and the campground on the golf course is nice.

You don't need to leave your coach on the mainland. A few years back I motorhomed to Victoria Island and took the ferry from Victoria to Port Angeles.

If you do golf, Bandon Dunes should be on your short list.
Can't wait to make this trip you are planning, sure sounds like fun.

Highly recommend the Evergreen Aviation museum the Spruce Goose is housed there...also there is a RV park (very nice) right next door so you can walk to the museum.

In Tillamuck see the avaiation museum there,,,it is the only standing hanger for the Air ships left used during the war...very interesting.
