Danny,
I did the same thing but the problem came back in a couple of months. Talked to Entegra CS and they told me they were adding a separate check valve on all new builds, I went to Home Depot bought a check valve and installed it on the input side of the pump. So far no more issues.

Jack... Thanks for the post... Bummer to hear the check valve maybe short lived... However, the inline check valve will be kept on hand... Thanks
