Water Softener

Any Entegra owners using a water softener and if so, which one would you recommend?

I got mine from www.motorcoachwaterfiltration.com, fully automatic put salt in it once a month and forget it, it works the same as a house watersoftner.

Lots of options that have been discussed before A good place to start would be to first ask yourself how how much do you want to spend. That will then narrow your options. You can spend anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand.

All water softeners are about the same. It depends on how you use the coach
We travel 4 months a year so the portable On The Go works for us. Use a prefilter in front of the softener helps the resin to last longer.

Since we are full timers, we installed the NIRVC system at their Phoenix location. We love it and don't need to lug the large On-The-Go every time we stop. Haven't put salt in it since the March install, and it's set for Arizona's high hard water levels. I'm guestimating that I will add salt every 6months.

Same here. It is pricier than most but we are very happy with it.

Thanks everyone! As always, I greatly appreciate the advice on our Entegra Forum. We are currently full-time, so looks like we should head to Phoenix and get the system installed in our coach.

How much $ is this system ( www.motorcoachwaterfiltration.com) installed? I'm going to be passing thru both Lewisville and Lawrenceville later this year - anyone had the install done at one of those locations? We have a '15 42DEQ - anyone installed one of these in a shorter wheelbase Entegra and if so where?

They're all different, but with a small footprint, you could basically out it anywhere. Definitely worth the investment.

Thanks Jim. If it would fit between my basement slide-out beer cooler and the Aqua-Hot, I just might pull the trigger. I'll talk to NIRVC.

Jim, how loud is that system when it regenerates?

I have the same system in a similar location. We can't even hear it when it regenerates at night.
