Heading up to WI for the christening of our youngest grandchild - and only granddaughter on July 9th. A few weeks visiting kids and grandkids in the Milwaukee area and then ??? Tentative plans are to head up through the upper peninsula and back down via Michigan so maybe we will see a few of you if we can get a site at Hearthside for a few nights. All we know for sure is that we need to be back in FL before August 13th for a planned boat trip with some friends...think we had six boats going at last count. Too many toys, not enough time. [emoji106] BTW - tonight we are at a little campground in Elko, GA parked beside a new (or newer...I'm not good on determining model year) Aspire from TX. Haven't seen anyone there yet but we'll be here two nights so maybe we'll meet the owners. If you read this forum, stop over and say Hi.

Linda, boat trips in August are HOT! However no problem getting marina slips. I think my boat trip in Aug will be floating the Madison in MT.
Have a great trip with the new boat.

@ the home '20, working on the AquaHot, just normal annual stuff.
Then if Salem looks like it may be clouded over for the disappearing sun thingy will head over to eastern Oregon.
Have a NW FT chapter motorcade to Astoria to do middle of Sept... then hunker down for the rest of the year.

Headed west starting first of August! Santa Fe & Taos before crossing into Colorado! My primary destinations are the NP of Utah. After that I plan to be in Albuquerque for the balloon fiesta the second week of October!
I've pretty much mapped out my time in Utah but would love suggestions for places to see in NM and Colorado!

Hoping to head out soon from Utah to the White Salmon river in southern WA that dumps into the Columbia across from Hood River OE for some fishing for King and Silver salmon. My sister-in-law bought some property boarding the White Salmon last year and I can't wait to get there. Got tied up in Middlebury PDI and just got home, brought a couple of problems home with me and am hoping to get them resolved before missing the salmon runs.

Beautiful area on the Columbia and I recommend it. If you get to Hood River be sure and visit the Moth Lounge, a popular spot in down town, and say Hi! to Julie my sil and owner. Mention us and I bet you'll end up with a free drink of choice. The local specialty beers are incredibly beyond thirst satisfying.

BTW, should you visit, DO NOT attempt to drive your motor home across the Columbia on the Hood River bridge. Don't do it! I did it once and I was one lucky dude. If you meet a truck you maybe taping up a driver side mirror and consoling, a PO, DW copilot. They even have T-Shirts "I Drove Across The Hood River Bridge."

I know! Our cabin is air conditioned and we have a full Bimini cover for the deck. We had originally scheduled the trip for June but weather and health issues for one of the other boaters pushed us out to August. Our first run like this so we want to be with other boaters who have made this run so we go when they go. Once we dock, we have a nice cool Gulf to help us get cool. Montana sounds great...have a wonderful trip!

Just got off the phone with Bretz RV. Apparently, the Backcountry Rally is cancelled. Not enough sign ups. Too bad they didn't give us a drop dead date when they opened it up. There might have been more (like us) who would have signed up earlier.

We left mid -June as soon as the kids got out of school. Two days at Columbia Sun in Kennewick, Wa to get us all acclimated. Plus it's a Passport America affiliate and costs next to nothing to stay there. Short trip to Lewiston Idaho to visit one of Pam's nephews. Jet boat excursion on the Snake was cancelled when DW spent $1200 in Costco which was w/i walking distance of the CG. Next stop McCall, Id. Great campground with spot overlooking the river and about 250 feet between sites. We were visited by a herd of deer nightly. Then on to Boise to meet up with son and 2 other grandchildren. RV park was just ok, too tight, but got some reading in while former daughter in law took the kids to the waterpark. On to Idaho Falls to await our reservation at Grizzly in West Yellowstone. We are currently on day 2 of 3 at Grizzly and the kids are zip lining. Yellowstone is packed. Any turnout you might choose was full of cars. Both GSD's swam in the Madison and the Yellowstone. One of them is a water baby and she'd start howling whenever we slowed down. She can't get enough of the water. Off to Victor tomorrow to wind down and read a book or two and maybe do some river rafting. We are hanging in the area as the new coach should be in Middlebury West (Bend) w/i a couple of weeks. After that we'll take it as it comes. Wife wants to go to Polson but we were there last year. We'll see.

Santa Barbara then Mammoth Lakes then Idylwild then San Diego then San Luis Obispo then probably Northern California and Oregon.
We'll figure September and October after that.

I will look forward to that! It looks like a lot of us will be crossing paths this summer, I hope several of us have a chance to meet up. I am increasing the wine and beer supply with that anticipation.

Taking 6 weeks to get to Pahrump NV from Mass for the Fantasy RV Western National Park Tour starting on Aug 28. Going to head west from Mass going through Chicago, then on to SD, MT, up to Glacier National, then Yellowstone and Grand Tetons for the solar eclipse. Then heading south through Utah towards Pahrump. Tour ends Sept 30 then on to Albuquerque Ballon Festival for 6 days with RV Tours again then heading back east to Bonita Springs FL for the winter but stopping in Texas for 8-10 days first. If anyone has any suggestions of things to see or places to stay on way to Pahrump NV, I'm all ears. Or in Texas also on way home.
Thanks

PS I got tired just writing this!! HAHA
