Where's Everyone Traveling to this summer?

We are making a stop in Shipshewane (might look at the new production ) on to Hearthside, across Hwy 2 to ND and hang out in cool MT for the summer. Open for ideas on ND and MT outside of Yellowstone. Going to Polson for sure.

We found DW's Grandmothers Homestead in SD 2 years ago. This year, we'll see if I can find my Grandparents Homestead in ND but I have less information to go on outside of maybe old timers in the small town that knew my uncle that farmed it for many years and possible public records.

Sounds like you will have a nice trip, Chuck. We are going to Michigan for July and August. Monroe (visit where Dan was born with his cousin); Sturgis (where he grew up); then onto Charlotte for Spartan Advanced training; then to Petoskey; then to Traverse City and finally to South Haven.

St Louis, Chicago, Egg Harbor, WI, Petoskey, MI and ending in Sevierville, TN for the solar eclipse on Aug 21. All of these places will be cooler than Memphis.

BTW, the next solar eclipse that's this available for observation in the US won't be until 2045, so don't miss this one. If possible, try to get to the band of totality that sweeps from the northwest to the southeast across the US. See here for great information: https://www.greatamericaneclipse.com/

Happy travels to everyone.

We're going to spend a couple of months in Colorado where it is cool. Most of the time we will be at Fun Valley resort in South Fork. At 8300 feet of elavation it is a cool place to be. Lots of Texans summer there.

We are in Virginia city Montana now. I do NOT recommend the RV site here, but the fishing is top notch. We plan to head back east through Yellowstone and the Big Horn forest via RT 14. Maybe spend a night there, then back to NY (UGH)

Back to Colorado and try to complete our aborted circumnavigation of all the neat mountain, ski, and mining towns of Colorado and drink some of my favorite draft beer, Laughing Lab at Bristol Brewing in Colorado Springs somewhere along the trip..... cheers!

No The Ennis park looks nice though. This park is in Virginia City on Rt 287. Stay far away from this place.

My summer preference is anywhere in the Pacific Northwest...currently Anacortes but moving on to the Olympic Peninsula this weekend. Our 8 year old grandson is with us this summer, collecting Junior Ranger badges and many memories along the way.

Chuck, if you haven't tried the COE campground in Fort Peck MT give it a try for some solid quiet time.

Jim, on the list, Thank You! These are the type of parks I would never have found without inside information.

Nothing here. We drove from CA to Middlebury and Charlotte, then back. Now trying to do a bunch of work on the coach, so no travels. It sucks not being retired....
