Whirlpool gold side by side refrigerator

Anyone who owns an Entegra with a whirlpool gold size by side refrigerator and who has items freezing on the top two or three shelves on the frig side, Whirlpool has a simple fix. Lois

Frig

Yes Riscky, that would be the simplistic approach. However, that would also warm up the rest of the frig, which would make it too warm on the bottom. For the people who have this problem it's no joke. The Whirlpool fix is a redesigned distribution system installed in the frig. Hope this helps the ones who has this frig installed!!!!!

We are experiencing this problem. Should we contact Entegra customer service for the fix or Whirlpool?

There seems to be a lack of info on this, but I have told Joyce about it so either one can help you. I had serious doubts that the new distribution box would fix the problem, but after installing it I found the temps top and bottom to be right on when the frig temp is set to factory default.

Is the "distribution box" the same as placing a battery operated fan in the frig. We bought one from CW for less than ten bucks and I don't have a freezing problem.

Dave & Beth, No it's not the same as putting a fan in the frig. This is a totally redesigned part to "fix" the refrigerator.

It probably disappoints you, but I don't have a freezing problem.

But your probably right for a Cornerstone expectation...they should install a name brand refrigerator that the manufacturer sales rep promises there will be no problems

Maybe one of those $8000 models that arrives for the Amish woodworking folks to hand tool the doors.

Meantime, I'll be happy with what I have and if the manufacturer finds a problem, then I'll be happy to have Entegra fix the problem.

I am curious though...and I ask this honestly and without malice...if you're so unhappy, why not make a change. This life is just way to short to allow this minor stuff to drive such pain...JMHO.

Whirlpool will come to wherever you are to fix the problem. They fixed ours. No more freezing on the top shelf.

Mountain Aire is certainly a nice coach...that's what we weighed against in our Anthem choice. Think it is a little pricey, but it does offer the opportunity to customize to you're liking. I think you're going to find a similar level of appliances and amenities to the Anthem, as opposed to the Cornerstone's power. As I said, not time to be unhappy on this side in our lives. I wish you the best.

Weather-wise, it's a beautiful day to look at motorhomes! Bullheaded, good luck with the search. The KingAire is a great coach!!
