That's understood, but is it really necessary to say "I don't worry about that" when there are other who clearly benefit?

That doesn't affect me.

Well maybe some just want to talk to someone and enjoy the fellowship of it all. 🤔😀

You must be a kindred spirit of mine.

I think this is a result of today's society. Our current society allows people who used to command respect to now be absolute asses and it's now fashionable to act as such with no repercussions.

Also pecking order establishes itself in groups before anyone knows that it's happening and those at the head of the pecking order subconsciously feel threatened when new ideas reveal themselves in the group. Those in power like to remain in power, so stopping anyone else for claiming notoriety in the group becomes a priority and thus the people who present ideas and in particular those that are not first blessed or owned by the higher pecking order is conceivably a large threat to those at the top.

Now those at the top of the pecking order cannot come out and say that the potential of slipping a rung down the food chain seems threatening to them so they have to respond more passively by continuing to say "not needed here" or "a waste of time" or whatever.

There's also the fact that not many people have any kind of rewarding life at all these days and places like this and Facebook give them something to do. And if they can't contribute to absolutely everything by either saying something like "I don't need it" or if they can't throw up a stupid meme or dancing GIF figure in Facebook, they might falter and begin to realize that they have not that much value and the thoughts and fears of their wasting their entire lives at places like this could start to weigh heavily upon them, so they must continue to contribute or the silence starts to bring this thought forward and they can't deal with such a harsh reality. So they must in order to survive, keep making noise at some level to keep themselves from facing reality, which is obvious to people reading their narratives but unfortunately, hopelessly lost on the one who needs to know it most.

I've posted on threads that I can't contribute to. I do it because the thread interests me and may help with a future issue I may have.
