Williston Florida.

Coming back from Ocala yesterday, I took a drive through the Williston campgrounds which have a 10 rating by Good Sam. Parked my coach and they gave me a personal tour. Even saw a couple Entegras there. Pretty amazing campground,, I can see why it got its rating. Also why it is mostly booked. Mike

We wintered there for 1.5 Winters. It is a nice campground that's biggest drawbacks are

1) it is North of I4...that means a lot of January and Feb days in the high 30s'/low40s to upper 50s/low 60s with some wind, rain, and humidity.
2) it is 19 miles to Gainesville and 25 to Ocala. It is a ways to shop (although the Winn-Dixie is OK. Not a lot of local eating joints. Have to drive for golf anywhere other than the local cow pasture (although the price is right for that).
3) we found that the park was a little "clique"particularly with the work campers and the folks that have been coming there for a while (not altogether surprising); lots of Canadians.

We would stay there again, but Winter much further South. Heated pool helps. ( rating seems a little high. They had quite a few activities. JMHO

We have overnighted there several times...when we're just too tired to spend another 3-4 hrs. on the road to get home. We've also used it after having repairs done - far enough to give us a good chance to check things out. It's a nice resort but I wouldn't recommend it for wintering either. We used to live not too far from that resort...winter in the area is one of the reasons we are further south now.

Are you coming south this year? We'll be back in Port St. Lucie again later this month and March

We're going to be in the SE in October, including Disney in late Oct. Not sure beyond that activity. We may stay down that way till Nov to tailgate Dallas in Nov for Thanksgiving game.

Florida

Ft wilderness Disney in October is excellent time to be there. Beats peak season at Disney and weather usually good .

Riverbend motorcoach resort in LaBelle Florida is far enough south to be warm for 'winter season'

Quite a few Entegra units at Riverbend and Disney !

We'll be there at Disney Ft Wilderness 21-28 Oct 2017. Once again relearning "It's a Small World", to be repeated for three or four years

Great spot to winter...if you can get in...is Myakka River Motorcoach Resort in Port Charlotte, FL. Little less crazy than some of the other areas of the state, beautiful Class A resort with lots of Entegras, Prevost etc. Heard that there's a new resort in Punta Gorda, FL that is getting some good reviews. Haven't seen it yet but the fellow who detailed our coach last was headed there and said it was very nice with all Class A also. By the way, if you are in the area, Superior Coach Detailing (Eric Mann) does a great job.
