Wind sensor

For those of you that have the girard awnings with the wind sensor, I have a question. On ours the sensor can fold down or be upright. Do you have to have it upright for it to work and if so do you have to get on the roof to move it into that position? Also, can you travel with it in the upright position? Any help is appreciated. Still on the learning curve.

Since our Girard sensor is only in the upright position I can say that yes, you can travel with it that way. I would assume it would have to be up in order to function properly. I have no idea what you have to do to raise yours up.

Thanks docj. Mine can folded down. My main concern was traveling with it tilted upright even tho it's only a few inches tall. Sounds like it would be the same as a stationary one.
