Window tinting a Entegra

Has anyone any comments good or bad concerning window tinting your front and side windows. I always do my side windows on my auto and a brow on the front. Makes a big difference in glare and heat production from the sun. I’m considering lightly tinting the entire front windshield as well as darker on sides. Thanks. Rick

Maybe you get used to what you have, but it has never crossed my mind to tint the windows. When driving, judicious use of the day shades while traveling west in the afternoons or east in the mornings has always resolved any sun issues for me while driving. Bright sun has never really been a problem in my maybe 60,000 miles driving an Entegra.

On heat, I bought a set of MagneShades for both my Anthem and for this Cornerstone, and those provide plenty of exterior heat absorption. I routinely use the MagneShades when parked for more than a couple of days in an area with significant heat. If you haven't looked into those, you might. They are expensive but they are VERY good and are easy to install and removed from the ground.

If you go ahead and do the tinting, let us know how it works. My side windows are tinted about as much as I would want already...

I met a trucker at a fuel stop who told me about a clear tint that cut down the heat and UV drastically. He said it could be found at a professional tint shop. Sounded like a great idea for the front but I haven't looked into it yet.

Tinting the side windows results in a mirror effect since it is already tinted. I tinted the side windows then took it off. We have the clear uv tinting on our dinghy and like it but it does scratch and Ez pass stickers will not work on them.

They're all ready way to dark.
First thing I did to the old Monaco was peel the dark film off the windows. Not an option here.
Unfortunately not an option now.

I live in Florida and as you know it is hot and sunny most of the time. I tinted my side windows and the entire front windshield. I have zero glare from the side windows and it is much cooler than factory. I have traveled all over the United States in the past 3 years without an issue. If I ever have to change out my front windshield, it too will be tinted. I would do it again in a second.

We just put the day shades down accordingly to the sun .. since there is a separate day shade pretty much on every window this does the same thing as tint ..
Then you have the benefit of having full sun in the winter if preferred...

Tinted 8 years ago and love it. I also tinted the windshield. The windshield took a little getting used to but no regrets. Also have my personal vehicles tinted the same way.
