Windshield replacement in Phoenix

My rock chip has spread across the windshield from top to bottom after washing it today. Wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a replacement shop in the Phoenix area...Yes, I do have insurance, but rather than rely on their “preferred” company, I want it done right!! Thanks!!!

National Indoor RC Center (NIRVC) is a very good option. Now, most RV repair shops (they are a sales company, and a repair shop and eventually a storage location) sub-contract out windshields to a glass company that specializes in windshield repair. My point is that while NIRVC will not do the work themselves, they will know what Phoenix company is the one that they entrust with doing all their glass work. The location general manager (Robert Langley "Cowboy") is a very good guy who will not steer you wrong. That would be who I would depend on to steer me in the right direction or to know who to call into their location to do the repair.

Gary

Your call but when I had to replace the windshield in my mh I used Binswanger glass to do the work. They came to my house to measure, ordered the replacement, delivered it to my house and installed it. Great people, good job. Point being you don’t need an RV shop to do the work.

This is printed on my Fleetwood windshield. Perhaps they have recommended installers in the area.

RV Glass is in PHX and we just had them replace our 18 London Aire windshield there. They are real experts and know you would be getting the best.

I have the same stamp, but I want to find a good installer. Now that we are full timers, I don’t want to have it done twice!!

Windshield replacement in Phoenix

Just a word of caution, had my windshield replaced at NIRVC Dallas last year. Next trip out my passenger side wiper “wrapped around” the curve and stuck.
When I called service advisor and asked if they checked the torque on the wipers after the subcontractor did the glass work, his response was “i have no idea”.
Posting this as a reminder to ask and/or double check the proper torque for the wipers before driving. No fun when it happens on the Interstate!

I used the insurance company preferred provider in Traverse City MI after we hit a turkey. Glad I did. It cracked on the way home. Called the insurance company , no problems, no hassle, no new claim, they sent one of the national companies down to my storage hanger and replaced it perfectly. JME but sometime it's better to let the insurance company take care of it, if it goes bad it's on them.

X2 on RV Glass Solutions in Phoenix.
They have a secure gravel lot for overnight dry stay while windshield sets.

I believe it was RV Glass solutions that the insurance company sent down from Tampa on mine. They know RV windshields. Check to be sure the delivery for the Entegra glass.

Evidently reuse of the seal around the glass is a hit or miss thing.

I would get my hands on a new seal and ensure it is used during the installation.
