Windshield sun screen inop

Hey all - Yesterday as we had just left our last camping spot and on the road for 10 minutes when the passenger side sunscreen completely unrolled by itself and would not go back up. Neither would the driver side operate. The blackout screens operate as they should. I have checked the little breakers attached to each screen. Neither the passenger side switch or the driver side switch will operate either of the windshield sunscreens.
Its as though they have totally lost power.

Has this happened to any of you? How did you troubleshoot and fix it?

Enjoying the Amana Colonies....

John

Try turning off the 12v power switch to reboot the system

I did reboot the 12 volt power and it didn't seem to make a difference. This was odd in that all of a sudden the visor just started to lower and nothing we did made a difference. It's as if the toggle switches were completely inop. The other odd thing is that the side visors on each passenger and driver side work just as they are supposed to. My next step in the morning is to remove the screws from the switch panel on the driver side and check the wires under the switches. Sooooo, the search goes on...

Found the issue!!

Some days the brain doesn't perform as well when it was originally delivered. In troubleshooting the issue with sunscreens I opened the electrical panel on the DS and lo and behold, the fuse for the windshield suncreens was blown. I replaced the 10 amp fuse and all is good. So simple I wish I would have thought about it first.....
