Wow!!! Spartan chassis really rides great!!

i just completed my first long 550 mile drive in my new 2015 Anthem and I have to say that this chassis is fantastic!!! This ride is really quiet and stable. The steering tracking was great. The anti-sway was very solid. The noise level generally was 25% of the inherent noise of my Monaco Dynasty. The independent front suspension was quiet and stable. General road noise VERY minimal. I LOVED driving this coach.

The big topic on the Monaco owners group was concern that the new Monaco on a Freightliner chassis was far inferior to the "old" Roadmaster 10 bag chassis like I had on my Dynasty. I can't really talk about the Freightliner chassis, although I road on it and thought it was better than my Roadmaster, I can now clearly compare the 10 bag Roadmaster versus this Spartan Mountain Master chassis and this Spartan is hands down vastly superior.

I am delighted. I have NO complaints !!

That's the first thing I noticed when I drove my first Entegra coach for a review, which was a 2011 Anthem. I owned a 42' Allegro Bus on a Spartan Mountain Master GT with IFS, 400 ISL, side radiator and what not and I enjoyed the drive with that. But when I drove that first Anthem there was a big difference. I knew that Entegra's superior insulation plus wooden floor construction would isolate any noise and road vibes but the handling was a big step up from what I was used to and that indicated this was due to Entegra's tweaks to the chassis rather than just attributed to being a Spartan.

The X-bridge construction and better use of steel in the chassis, plus a much stronger superstructure than what I had in the Allegro Bus made the difference. Rather than have the frame twist, which also causes the superstructure to rack out of square, the Anthem just handled tight curves nice and flat and any bumps, dips or potholes just got swallowed up by the suspension rather than get transmitted back into the coach. Of all the coaches I've reviewed and driven (and some of them drove quite well) I have to say that Entegra was the best. From the solid front axle Aspire up to the Cornerstone, each model stood out in its class.
