2017 vs 2018 Mercedes Chassis differences

Does anyone know if there are any substantial changes in the 2018 chassis versus the 2017 model?

Placing an order for a LTV Unity and wanted to see if I should wait or charge on.

Thanks!

It seems the LTV crew is at the get together in Las Vegas so was just hoping someone here had that information.
Thanks!

I too am wondering about upcoming 2018 sprinter chassis changes. I hope to see the chassis GVWR increased so that the Leisure Travel Unity with Murphy Bed water carrying capacity (now 24 gallons) and cargo carrying capacity (now under 300 pounds) increase. At current levels, fresh water will be quickly emptied and carrying even minimal supplies and gear will overload the coach.

We are picking up our 2017 Serenity on Friday in Dallas. I've looked at a few of the Triple E Delivery Forms as we were shopping, and the 2017 models have all been built on 2016 Sprinter Chassis. I suspect a 2018 would be on a 2017 Sprinter chassis. Note that these were all in stock units, but recent deliveries.

From what I understand there isn't going to be any 2017 MB chassis because of emissions snafu investigated under the VW fraud. The 2018 chassis is redesigned and 2018 LTVs should be on the new 2018 MB chassis. Don't know what will be different on the 2018 MB chassis. Hopefully biodiesel% allowed will increase. Currently MB warranty can be voided for over 5%, but many states are going to as high as 20%, which is verboten by MB. There has been discussion on this over on the Sprinter forum, https://sprinter-source.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=55882.

As a side note, we ordered a 2018 Winnebago Navion the first of July, and were promised the delivery for the second week of August as they had one started they could adapt to our options. We had a trip planned up north for the end of August. That delivery was pushed back to End of August, then mid September, then end of September, and the straw that broke the camels back (aka: our order) was when the Winnebago rep called me direct and said sometime in October. I asked what happened, as he said they would build it on a 2017 chassis, and he said " We are having chassis issues". That was it for me and I cancelled my order and got the deposit back.
I then found the 2017 Leisure Van Serinity, one in stock the way we wanted it, so bought a 1 way ticket 1250 miles away, and will start driving it home Friday.

MB oil burners! You should save a copy of this brochure that states you CAN run up to 20% biodiesel - see https://d3ciwvs59ifrt8.cloudfront.ne...0035e9b7cd.pdf. If you don't like following links, just google mercedes diesel 20% minnesota - gets you to the same place! ST
