Curved shower curtain rod in 24v

Hey all,
I would like to expand the shower by installing a curved shower curtain rod if possible. Has anyone done this in their winnebago view 24v? If so, where did you find one that will fit in that tight space and did you have to remove the factory installed shower door. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

Sounds like a (flooded bathroom) disaster waiting to happen. Personally, I wouldn't do it or try it.

Not too much in the way of a solid surface to mount the bar to in that bathroom. I’d stick with factory door as well.

I thought about putting a curved shower curtain rod in our 24V, but I didn't think there would be enough space since the medicine cabinet is so close - plus I wasn't sure if I could find the studs in the walls. Instead I installed a short tension shower curtain rod (24"-40") about 2 inches above and 3 inches out of the original shower door. I'm hanging a 2-in-1 shower curtain, so I won't need to have a liner, and plan on sewing in some weights at the bottom so it stays in place while showering. We haven't tried it out yet, so fingers crossed it works as planned. Our next trip is Labor Day weekend, so I'll post an update after that.

Thanks for the reply's and the tip toolgirl. I thought of doing that as well and will probably go with that idea. Let me know how it works out for you.
Thanks again everyone

Mark

This is what I’ve done to my 2019 25’ LTV Unity TB:
(Which has a similar floor plan to some Winnebago)

- Bought a collapsible shower rod for RV.
- Uninstalled the retractable plastic shower door.
- Replaced the middle metal section of the collapsible rod with a strong rubber pipe, attached to one end and left able to slide inside the other end.
- Installed this new contraption on the shower access which still allows the wooden door to properly close.
- Installed a good quality shower curtain tall enough to keep the water inside the shower stall.
- Gained about ten inches of width at shoulder height. It makes a big difference when taking a shower.

Hope this helps.
