Fresh Water Gauge on 2014 Winnebago View 24G

Has anyone else with this model had issues with the accuracy of the fresh water tank gauge? If so, what did you do to correct it? My gauge shows that I have only 2/3 tank remaining after emptying 5 gallons of water. It goes down to 1/3 after 10 gallons and stays at 1/3 until 25 gallons are used.

The gauge shows 2/3 until it passes that sensor than shows 1/3 until it passes that sensor so it takes a long time to change. The only time it is accurate is when it passes the sensor. Mine does the same thing. The gray and black tanks are worst to figure out how muck is in there.

The propane level on the monitor panel of my Navion is the worst. Mine was showing 1/2 so I went to fill before the next trip and the 13 gallong tank took only 2.1 gallons. How is 2.1 gallons out of 13 gallons only 1/2 full?

Propane tank is limited to 80% of capacity. (head space) and has a shutoff valve to prevent going above that. The gauge on the tank will show about the 3/4 mark when "full". 80% of 13 gallons is 10.4 gallons. If you use 3+ gallons you will be at 1/2 tank indicated. Propane expands with temperature change and the head space is needed to allow for expansion, it also reduces the accuracy of the gauge.

If they don't open the small bleeder valve next to the fill port they will never fill it up to 3/4. They should open it up to bleed the pressure while filling and when the liquid starts to come out, it is full. Most campgrounds don't open the bleeder valve. I always fill mine at my propane dealer.

Yes I'm aware of the bleeder valve and always watch to be sure they open it while filling. A good reminder to other that may not be aware of this. Thanks.
