We just got back from 3 months through the west, Canada and Alaska and back to the east coast. With our 25 ft sprinter view. We never connected to sewer or water and just filled with water(gravity feed) and dumped when needed. The electric is so quick and easy to connect and disconnect it’s no problem running to the grocery and back if need be. The fuel mileage was good also.

I typically don't connect sewer but do hook up water power. We usually drop the car from the dolly if there for more than 1 night. As an example, we have put on over 250 miles sight seeing the last 2 days and the toad gets well over 30 mpg and has parked in places the Prism could not.

We started out with no toad, but after two trips, we decided we needed to tow something. Too much hassle unhooking everything just to go shopping or dining with family or visit friends. Then go back and get level, and re-hookup everything.

We had been thinking of getting rid of our 2006 Lexus RX 330 (we loved it) and downsizing to something smaller, anyway. I researched our options, 1) tow dolly, but Lexus was to heavy and we had no place to store the dolly (MH is stored offsite) 2) Downsize to smaller toad that could be flat towed. We bought a 2014 Certified PreOwned 2014 Honda CR-V. (Turned out to have a Blue-Ox baseplate, auxiliary taillights, and radio cutout switch. Dealer didn't even know. All we needed was tow-bar and braking system.)

Now we feel more free to drive to shopping, eating, sightseeing and visit family especially when there are no CG's close to the family members.

The MH is so easy to drive that we haven't done the toad thing (yet). Most parking lots can be defeated if a little planning as the unit is just a few feet longer (and taller and wider) than my long bed PU. Anyway, picking up camp now and then vs. hauling another 3000#'s is a fair trade-off for us. If we're near town, then we have bikes on the back. Sometimes we haul a side x side 4 wheeler in trailer on back and can get stopped if on city streets---have always talked out of a ticket but didn't drive it again until next camp site. I'm sure my luck will eventually wear out and then the toad will probably happen.

No tow car

I have a 16 View and have put 35K miles on without a toad. Wine tasting in Ca. is the best you have a place to nap. lol

I am thinking about a wrangler since we live in Co. and there are plenty of 4WD
roads to explore.

Overall with a little searching we have had no problem parking around town.

Hope that helps
